| dc.description.abstract | El municipio de Orito se encuentra ubicado en el departamento de Putumayo, al suroccidente de Colombia, caracterizado por su diversidad étnica y cultural.
Hay once pueblos indígenas entre ellos se encuentra el pueblo indígena Awá conserva su identidad cultural usos y costumbres, organizado social y políticamente en cabildos y resguardos, algunos inscritos a la Asociación de Cabildos Indígenas del Pueblo Awá del Putumayo (ACIPAP INKAL AWÁ).
ACIPAP INKAL AWÁ es una organización indígena registrada ante el Ministerio del Interior; Dirección de Etnias, ROM y Minorías, con carácter de Entidad Pública Especial, sin ánimo de lucro según decreto 1088, cuyos principios organizativos son unidad, territorio, cultura y autonomía. (Plan de vida, 2022, p. 59)
La organización ACIPAP ha implementado varias áreas que son los principios en los que se enmarca su planificación, entre ellas está el área de mujer y familia a través de la coordinadora del área se propone la creación de una asociación de mujeres indígenas del pueblo Awá en el municipio de Orito Putumayo, que preserve y promueva sus saberes ancestrales, buscará impulsar el reconocimiento en ejercicio de los derechos de las mujeres Awá y su participación activa en la vida comunitaria, en asamblea general de autoridades fue aprobada esta propuesta, el objetivo se centra en la identificación de necesidades y fortalezas de las mujeres indígenas Awá; como propuesta de innovación desde un impacto social promover el empoderamiento de las mujeres Awá, la revitalización del idioma Awapit y el fortalecimiento del tejido comunitario, el valor significativo que tiene la mujer dentro de sus territorios. En el pueblo indígena Awá a través del plan de vida (documento del pueblo Awá) resalta la importancia de la mujer en la familia, desde un contexto histórico que prevaleció en su momento un sistema patriarcado donde la mujer solo se dedicaba al hogar, la manutención de su esposo, etc.; actualmente el rol de ser mujer abarca reivindicar sus derechos y la participación en varios escenarios ante su comunidad y desde la sociedad. Esta iniciativa se puede optar como base para la formulación de políticas públicas que respondan las realidades de las mujeres indígenas de Putumayo. | |

There are eleven indigenous communities, including the Awá indigenous people. They maintain their cultural identity, customs, and traditions, organized socially and politically in councils and reservations, some of which are registered with the Association of Indigenous Councils of the Awá People of Putumayo (ACIPAP INKAL AWÁ).
ACIPAP INKAL AWÁ is an indigenous organization registered with the Ministry of the Interior, Directorate of Ethnic Groups, ROM, and Minorities, as a Special Public Entity, non-profit under Decree 1088, whose organizational principles are unity, territory, culture, and autonomy. The ACIPAP organization has implemented several areas that are the principles that frame its planning, among them is the area of women and family through the coordinator of the area, the creation of an association of indigenous women of the Awá people is proposed in the municipality of Orito Putumayo, which preserves and promotes their ancestral knowledge, will seek to promote the recognition in the exercise of the rights of Awá women and their active participation in community life, in a general assembly of authorities this proposal was approved, the objective focuses on the identification of needs and strengths of Awá indigenous women; as a proposal of innovation from a social impact promote the empowerment of Awá women, the revitalization of the Awapit language and the strengthening of the community fabric, the significant value that women have within their territories. Among the Awá indigenous communities, the Plan of Life (a document of the Awá people) highlights the importance of women in the family. This is based on a historical context where a patriarchal system once prevailed, where women were solely dedicated to the home, supporting their husbands, and so on. Currently, the role of being a woman encompasses asserting her rights and participating in various settings within her community and society. This initiative can be used as a basis for formulating public policies that address the realities of indigenous women in Putumayo. | |
