Perspectivas emergentes en materiales funcionales: integración de materiales inteligentes, nanotecnologías y biomateriales
Functional materials, such as biomaterials, nanomaterials, and smart materials, are transforming key sectors like biomedicine, energy, electronics, and structural engineering. These materials enable innovative developments, from controlled drug delivery systems to energy-efficient devices and self-repairing structures. However, they face challenges in terms of cost and scalability. This working paper analyzes the applications and benefits of these materials, highlighting their impact on sustainability and the challenges for large-scale implementation. Additionally, future perspectives are explored to optimize their use across various industries.
