dc.description.abstract	La principal motivación para adelantar esta investigación, es que los diferentes miembros de la comunidad educativa de la Institución, expresan preocupación por ciertas situaciones que afectan la convivencia, no solo dentro de la institución sino en los alrededores de la escuela, tales como intolerancia, discriminación, agresión física y/o verbal, consumo de sustancias psicoactivas, hurtos, ausentismo, impuntualidad, irresponsabilidad escolar e irrespeto, retiros de la institución y deserción; afectando los procesos académicos y de convivencia. De esta manera se buscó conocer y comprender lo que para los jóvenes son las normas, la utilidad que le atribuyen al Manual de Convivencia y su percepción de la importancia o necesidad del conocimiento, respeto y cumplimiento de estas normas para que así se pueda avanzar en procesos de replanteamiento y renegociación que permita al sistema educativo fortalecer sus procesos pedagógicos para portar realmente a la construcción de ciudadanos y el manual de convivencia pueda entenderse como una herramienta en la que se consignan los acuerdos de la comunidad educativa para facilitar y garantizar la armonía en la vida diaria, que sin lugar a dudas, también les ayudará a vivir mejor en sus comunidades.	spa

dc.description.abstractenglish	Social representations of the rules of school coexistence in high school students of the Ángel María Paredes de Neiva Educational Institution. The main motivation to advance this research is that the different members of the educational community of the Institution, express concern about certain situations that affect coexistence, not only within the institution but in the surroundings of the school, such as intolerance, discrimination , physical and / or verbal aggression, consumption of psychoactive substances, theft, absenteeism, tardiness, school irresponsibility and disrespect, withdrawals from the institution and desertion; affecting the academic and coexistence processes. In this way we sought to know and understand what the rules are for young people, the usefulness they attribute to the Manual of Coexistence and their perception of the importance or necessity of knowledge, respect and compliance with these standards so that progress can be made in processes of rethinking and renegotiation that allows the educational system to strengthen its pedagogical processes to really carry out the construction of citizens and the manual of coexistence can be understood as a tool in which the agreements of the educational community are consigned to facilitate and guarantee harmony in daily life, which without a doubt, will also help them to live better in their communities.	spa
