| dc.description.abstract | La presente monografía se orienta al estudio del fenómeno de la deserción escolar, partiendo
de la definición aportada por el profesor Doublier, (1980), para quien esta implica “el retiro
voluntario de un educando o estudiante del año al que fue matriculado, abandonando el sistema
educativo antes de completar sus estudios básicos” (p. 43). Esta definición cuenta con una amplia
aceptación en América Latina y es empleada en diversas investigaciones sobre el fenómeno.
El presente proyecto monográfico en consecuencia, tiene como intencionalidad
investigativa, describir el fenómeno particular de deserción escolar en las instituciones
educativas oficiales del municipio de Palmira Valle del Cauca para los años 2016-2018.
Este documento corresponde a una monografía de análisis de experiencias, por ende, la
idea central en este caso consiste en analizar una experiencia organizacional en concreto
(proceso de deserción escolar en las Instituciones Educativas oficiales) y definir conclusiones,
realizar comparaciones y finalmente aportar una propuesta de intervención. | spa |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | This monograph is oriented to the study of the phenomenon of school dropout, based on
the definition provided by Professor Doublier, (1980), for whom it implies “the voluntary
withdrawal of a student or student of the year to which he was enrolled, leaving the educational
system before completing its basic studies” (p. 43). This definition has wide acceptance in Latin
America and is used in various investigations on the phenomenon. The present monographic
project, consequently, has as an investigative intent, to describe the particular phenomenon of
school dropout in the official educational institutions of the municipality of Palmira Valle del
Cauca for the years 2016-2018.
This document corresponds to a monograph of analysis of experiences, therefore, the central
idea in this case is to analyze a specific organizational experience (dropout process in official
Educational Institutions) and define conclusions, make comparisons and finally provide a
