| dc.description.abstract | Teniendo en cuenta que la escuela ambiental del Cesar es una organización no gubernamental sin ánimo de lucro, que trabaja ejemplarmente en la búsqueda de educar, concientizar y preservar el ecosistema y que actualmente está en la búsqueda de mejorar su planta física con el fin de ofrecer a la comunidad de la cuidad y a visitantes una experiencia de inmersión en la naturaleza, se evaluó el estado general de las especies arbóreas con las que cuenta para: tener una mejor claridad sobre la salud del ecosistema ubicado en su predio.
Se realizó un inventario forestal, utilizando el método de parcelas de 10mx10m, 5mx5m y 2mx2m, debido a la irregularidad del terreno. Se construyó una base de datos teniendo en cuenta parámetros cuantificables como DAP (Diámetro altura pecho), altura, área basal y densidad poblacional, y calificables como el estado fitosanitario y georreferenciación de cada una de las especies.
Se identificó mediante información cartográfica la ubicación exacta del predio dentro del casco urbano del municipio de Valledupar, se realizó el conteo e identificación de cada uno de los árboles y otras especies arbustivas y herbáceas junto con sus parámetros importantes, luego del trabajo de campo se complementó la base de datos con la información adicional como su nombre científico, nombre común, el número de individuos por especies y total.
Con esta información se procedió a determinar su índice de valor de importancia IVI a partir del cálculo de los índices de abundancia, frecuencia y dominancia de cada especie.
Se obtuvo en total 178 individuos entre especies arbóreas, arbustivas y herbáceas clasificados en 27 especies y 19 familias, 358 individuos faunas clasificados en 9 especies y 8 familias y por último se elaboraron las recomendaciones necesarias para mejorar la sostenibilidad del ecosistema. | spa |
