| dc.description.abstract | En la visita que se realizó, fue por el motivo de Reproducción Avanzada, pero como en la zona de Aguachica cesar no ahí predios certificados, y al realizar la práctica, logre hacer las dos prácticas en una. Se realizó la visita a la HACIENDA RANCHO LUNA, ubicada en el km3 Vía Guarinocito-Honda, La dorada, Caldas.
En la visita se logró verificar las actividades que deben de realizar para mantener un predio libre y certificado por el INSTITUTO COLOMBIANO AGROPECUARIO (ICA).
La HACIENDA RANCHO LUNA cuenta con una altura de 225 m.s.n.m con una temperatura entre los 28 a 30 ºC, con una pluviosidad 805mm/año.
Cuenta con una biodiversidad de árboles, donde sobresalen los mangos, arrayan, palmas, robles, matarraton, entre otros.
La HACIENDA RANCHO LUNA cuenta con 25 años trabajando en la comercialización de ganado puro, entre ellos destacan las razas o líneas (Brahama rojo, gris, simental, Angus, Gyr), todos ellos adaptados al trópico bajo colombiano.
Además cuentan con los potreros una mezclas de pastos, la hacienda maneja un sistema rotativo cuales tienen un descanso de 50 a 55 días. Además ellos manejan una alimentación alternativa donde se les suministra sal mineralizada, melaza, entre otros.
La hacienda tiene un manejo de comercialización de toros listos para montas donde se les entrega con un chequeo espermático, y 6 meses de garantía donde si los resultados no son lo esperados, se cambia el animal, o se hace un acuerdo con el dinero. Además de ello la hacienda maneja un sistema de Inseminación artificial a tiempo fijo La Inseminación artificial a Tiempo Fijo es una técnica que, mediante la utilización de hormonas, permite sincronizar los celos y ovulaciones con lo cual es posible inseminar una gran cantidad de animales en un período corto de tiempo. Son conocidos los beneficios en el empleo de la Inseminación Artificial, en cuanto a mejora genética, al conocimiento de la paternidad y a la posibilidad de utilizar, en vaquillonas, toros que den terneros de bajo peso al nacer.
La HACIENDA RANCHO LUNA, se fundamenta cada una en diferentes especies hasta el momento son 6 las cuales van desde producción equina, bovinos, avícola, agricultura entre otros. Además la hacienda cuenta con un total de 38 trabajadores que van desde encargados, inseminadores, contadores, cocina y aseadores. | |
