| dc.description.abstract | La fundación Heart Mission Children, emplea como misión y visión el intervenir las comunidades étnicas Arhuaca, Wayu, Wiwa y Yukpas de la región caribe de Colombia con el propósito de proteger la infancia de estas comunidades. Desde hace más de 15 años la fundación dirigida por Omar Villadiego y su esposa, así como el personal profesional de planta y voluntariado que los acompaña. A través de la implementación médica, servicio comunitario y el apoyo de voluntarios es posible el acceso a las comunidades y también el acercamiento a las familias que permiten que sus hijos expuestos a situaciones vulnerables de violencia, venta y abuso infantil, logren ser atendidos en sus necesidades básicas y seleccionados para convivir en la fundación casa hogar Heart Mission Children. Desde esta perspectiva la red social de Facebook ha sido un instrumento para dar a conocer las actividades que se realizan en las comunidades permitiendo no solo el apoyo de voluntarios inmediatos de la comunidad y de la región si no también brindando la oportunidad de apoyo extranjero y la visibilidad de la problemática infantil en las comunidades étnicas del Cesar y departamentos adyacentes. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The Heart Mission Children Foundation uses as its mission and vision to intervene in the Arhuaca, Wayu, Wiwa and Yukpa ethnic communities of the Caribbean region of Colombia with the purpose of protecting the children of these communities. For more than 15 years, the foundation has been run by Omar Villadiego and his wife, as well as the professional staff and volunteers who accompany them. Through medical implementation, community service and the support of volunteers, it is possible to access the communities and also approach the families that allow their children exposed to vulnerable situations of violence, sale and child abuse, to be cared for in their homes. Basic and selected needs to live in the Heart Mission Children's Home Foundation. From this perspective, the Facebook social network has been an instrument to publicize the activities carried out in the communities, obtaining not only the support of immediate volunteers from the community and the region, but also providing the opportunity for foreign support and the Visibility of the child problem in the ethnic communities of Cesar and adjacent departments. | |
