| dc.description.abstract | En el marco de la línea de investigación “Educación Intercultural e inclusiva” de la escuela de Ciencias de la Educación (ECEDU), se realizó la investigación sobre las representaciones sociales sobre interculturalidad de los docentes de educación básica secundaria de la Institución Educativa Técnica Nuestra Señora del Lourdes del municipio del Líbano, departamento del Tolima. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar como las representaciones sociales sobre interculturalidad de los docentes básica secundaria inciden en las prácticas pedagógicas.
Esta investigación se realizó con un enfoque cualitativo utilizando entrevistas semiestructuradas y cartas asociativas, las cuales mostraron que los docentes de la Institución Educativa Técnica Nuestra Señora del Lourdes tienen representaciones sociales sobre la interculturalidad que se caracterizan por un enfoque centrado en el respeto y la valoración de la diversidad cultural.
Sin embargo, los docentes también identificaron desafíos para la implementación de prácticas pedagógicas interculturales, como la falta de recursos y formación.
Los resultados de esta investigación sugieren que es necesario brindar a los docentes formación y apoyo para que puedan implementar prácticas pedagógicas interculturales. Esto ayudará a crear un ambiente escolar más inclusivo y equitativo, donde todos los estudiantes, independientemente de su origen cultural, puedan sentirse valorados y respetados.

Within the framework of the line of research “Intercultural and inclusive education” of the School of Educational Sciences (ECEDU), research was carried out on the social representations of interculturality of the secondary basic education teachers of the Nuestra Señora Technical Educational Institution from Lourdes in the municipality of Lebanon, department of Tolima. The objective of this study was to analyze how the social representations of interculturality of basic secondary teachers affect pedagogical practices.
This research was carried out with a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews and associative letters, which showed that teachers at the Nuestra Señora de Lourdes Technical Educational Institution have social representations about interculturality that are characterized by an approach focused on respect and appreciation of cultural diversity.
However, teachers also identified challenges to the implementación of intercultural pedagogical practices, such as lack of resources and training.
The results of this research suggest that it is necessary to provide teachers with training and support so that they can implement intercultural pedagogical practices. This will help create a more inclusive and equitable school environment, where all students, regardless of their cultural background, can feel valued and respected.
