| dc.description.abstract | El presente artículo sistematiza la innovación social Proyecto de Inclusión Escolar-Programa PILO de la institución educativa George Washington School, Usaquén, Bogotá. Este programa tiene como objetivo diseñar un enfoque inclusivo que responde a las necesidades de estudiantes con dificultades académicas y de aprendizaje donde se llevaron a cabo intervenciones asistidas con perros que ayudan a mejorar la salud mental en los estudiantes.
Esta innovación social se desarrolló desde el enfoque cualitivo que según Olabuénaga, I, J. (2016). Metodología de la investigación cualitativa (5ª ed.), define este método como un enfoque de investigación el cual busca comprender los fenómenos en su contexto natural, explorando los significados, experiencias y perspectivas de los individuos, interesándose por los detalles, la subjetividad y la riqueza en las experiencias humanas.
Se encontró que la metodología utilizada en el proyecto PILO se ha basado en la “flexibilización curricular”, que permite ajustar los contenidos, métodos de enseñanza y limitaciones de cada estudiante. En lugar de aplicar un método uniforme, el proyecto adapta los planes de estudio según las necesidades específicas de los estudiantes, garantizando su participación activa en el proceso educativo. Este proyecto mejora los resultados individuales de cada estudiante, y promueve un entorno escolar más inclusivo, solidario y participativo, donde se valora la diversidad y se refuerzan los vínculos entre los integrantes de la comunidad educativa. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The present article is based on the social innovation project aimed at designing an xinclusive approach that addresses the needs of students with academic and learning difficulties. The Project stands out by not excluding these students from regular education but adapting to their circumstances through various tools and pedagogical methodologies. It aligns with public policies that promote inclusión and equity in education.
This social innovation was developed from the qualitative approach that according to Olabuénaga. I, J. (2016). Methodology of qualitative research (5th ed.), he defines this method as a research approach which seeks to understand phenomena in their natural context, exploring the meanings, experiences and perspectives of individuals, taking an interest in details, subjectivity and perspectives of individuals, taking and interest in details, subjectivity and richness in human experiences.
The methodology used in the PILO project is based on “curricular flexibility”, which allows for the adjusment of content, teaching methods, and the specific limitations of each student. Instead of appliyng a uniform method, the project adapts study plans to meet the specific needs of students, ensuring their active participation in the educational process. This involves highly trained human resources, an adecuate physical enviroment, and continuous support from institutions specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of learning difficulties.
This project not only aims to improve the individual outcomes of each student but also to Foster a more inclusive, supportive, and participatory school environment where diversity is valued and the bonds among members of the educational Community are strengtheend.
