| dc.description.abstract | La hotelería es una industria laboral muy competitiva a nivel local, nacional y mundial, en
cualquier lugar del mundo existen hoteles que prestan sus servicios a miles o millones de
usuarios al año, es necesario que estén a la vanguardia de la tecnología para afrontar situaciones
cotidianas que se presentan y que implementen herramientas tecnológicas para desarrollar una
excelente gestión y atención al usuario, brindando una experiencia única y facilitando las labores
más sencillas como por ejemplo el hacer una reservación, saber que podríamos hacer pagos
digitales o estar 100 % seguros de que la información que suministramos estará bajo la reserva
legal y nuestros datos personales no estarán en peligro. Por lo anterior, es pertinente desarrollar
un software tecnológico a nivel local que sea completo y funcional para el Hotel Colonial, el cual
se encuentra ubicado en la calle 8 Número 7-53 del municipio de Palermo (Huila) y al momento
no cuenta con base de datos para registrar sus usuarios, hacer reservación o entregar facturas,
convirtiéndolo en antiguo y generando con esto una gran desventaja en el mercado comercial
frente a la competencia. Un software amigable con el usuario e intuitivo con los administradores,
se podrá acceder a este software desde cualquier lugar, contando con campos alfanuméricos
obligatorios donde se almacenará la información y se tendrá disponible para ser utilizada en
cualquier momento, cabe mencionar que esta primera versión tendrá 6 meses de prueba y si es
necesario incrementar los servicios, se estará rediseñando para cumplir con lo requerido por el
cliente, se le brindara un soporte técnico por 6 meses en caso de que la base de datos presente
falencias en pro de corregirlas y obtener el mejor desempeño del programa.
Este proyecto tiene por objetivo principal desarrollar un software que me permita mejorar las
funcionalidades que se llevan en los procesos de registro y reservas, el poder llevar toda la

información de manera segura y que podamos acceder a ella de una manera más fácil. La
metodología que vamos a implementar es la metodología de desarrollo XP.

such as making a reservation, knowing that we can make digital payments or being 100% sure of
that the information we provide will be under legal reserve. For this reason, we wanted to
develop technological software at a local level that is complete and functional for the Colonial
Hotel, which is located on 8th Street Number 7-53 in the municipality of Palermo (Huila) and at
the moment does not have a database. to register its users, make reservations or deliver invoices,
making it old and thus generating a great disadvantage in the commercial market compared to
the competition. Our software will be user-friendly and intuitive for administrators, it can be
installed on a basic laptop and/or desktop computer, with mandatory alphanumeric fields where
the information will be stored and available to be used at any time, it is worth mentioning that

will be redesigned to meet the client's requirements. Technical support will be provided for 6
months in case the database presents flaws in favor of correct them and obtain the best
performance of the program. The main objective of this project is to develop software that allows
me to improve the functionalities carried out in the registration and reservation processes, to be
able to carry all the information safely and so that we can access it in an easier way. The
methodology that we are going to implement is the waterfall model methodology, which is based
on the sequence and order of each of the stages of the project.
