| dc.description.abstract | utilizando la lista de chequeo para Buenas Prácticas Pecuarias establecida por el Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario (ICA), con el
fin de identificar el nivel de implementación de las BPP en la producción bovina por monta natural, así como en otros subsistemas
presentes en la finca. A partir de la información recolectada se identificaron fortalezas relacionadas con el manejo animal y la
alimentación, y aspectos por mejorar, especialmente en el componente administrativo, los registros productivos y sanitarios.
Finalmente, el diagnóstico permitió generar recomendaciones orientadas al fortalecimiento de la
sanidad animal, el manejo de medicamentos veterinarios, el bienestar animal y la sostenibilidad del
sistema productivo, con el objetivo de avanzar hacia la certificación en Buenas Prácticas Pecuarias.

| dc.description.abstractenglish | For the completion of this checklist, a field visit was conducted at Plan Bonito Farm, located in the Sabanas
de Malpica district, municipality of El Banco, Magdalena. Sufficient information was collected through
photographic evidence, direct observation, and data provided by the farm owner and manager. This allowed
for an understanding of the productive, environmental, and sanitary conditions of the livestock system.
The evaluation was carried out using the Good Livestock Practices checklist established by the Colombian Agricultural
Institute (ICA), aiming to identify and diagnose the level of implementation of good livestock practices in a cattle
production system based on natural mating. Strengths related to animal management and feeding were identified, as
well as opportunities for improvement in administrative management, record keeping, and sanitary control.
The results support the formulation of recommendations focused on strengthening
animal health programs, veterinary drug management, animal welfare, and sustainability,
with the goal of improving productivity and advancing toward official certification.
