| dc.description.abstract | La (AI) permite al individuo forjar distintas habilidades que le permitirán desenvolverse con facilidad en el manejo de la información en el que la sociedad se encuentra inmersa actualmente. A pesar de que las nuevas tecnologías juegan un papel importante y determinante en la vida de las personas y que la sociedad de la información se encuentra en un punto de auge, sigue existiendo una brecha digital, que se encuentra definida como: “la línea o distancia que separa al grupo que puede acceder a las TIC del grupo que no” Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) citada en (Pinzón, 2008, p.18). Esta incide en el desconocimiento por parte de una gran mayoría de personas (adultos, adolescentes, niños), en el uso de herramientas para localizar todo tipo de información en internet y en distintos tipos de formatos; no solo está alfabetizado el que sabe leer y escribir, hoy el individuo debe ser capaz de interactuar con diversos menús, navegar a través de documentos hipertextuales, debe poseer destrezas para manejar correos electrónicos, redes sociales, etcétera. Se debe brindar a los individuos la oportunidad de apropiarse del conocimiento, de utilizar la información para participar de la sociedad, la educación tiene la responsabilidad de atender las diferentes necesidades que tienen los niños para acceder a la información con el fin de mejorar la calidad de vida de ellos y de sus familias, es necesario disminuir la brecha social y formar ciudadanos con la esperanza de vivir un futuro mejor, donde las oportunidades sean para todos y no haya ningún tipo de marginación con el cual deban enfrentarse por no estar preparados para vivir en esta sociedad de la información. | spa |
