| dc.description.abstract | Debido a los altos costos e impactos económicos que representa el control químico de sigatoka negra (Mycosphaerella Fijiensis Morelet), principal enfermedad que afecta el cultivo del plátano en el municipio de Turbo, se planteó como objetivo evaluar el efecto de la aplicación de tres concentraciones de extracto hojas de moringa (Moringa oleífera Lam) en el control protectante de la enfermedad en el cultivo de plátano clon hartón bajo condiciones de campo. Este experimento se desarrolló en terrenos de la Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD) en el Distrito de Turbo Antioquia, en una plantación en producción, donde se seleccionaron plantas de 1 metro de altura y 4 hojas funcionales sin la enfermedad, sin la realización de labores culturales y, sin fertilización, durante el periodo de duración del estudio.
Para el estudio se implementó un ensayo en campo compuesto por 4 tratamientos cada uno de ellos con 30 repeticiones, el primero fue con concentración del 32%, el segundo al 36%, el tercero corresponde al testigo y, el cuarto al 24%. Se evaluó la severidad e incidencia de la enfermedad a través de la escala de Stover modificada por Gauhl, el número total de hojas, YLI (Young leaf infected-hoja más joven infectada) y YLS (Young leaf spot-hoja más joven manchada) durante 6 ciclos de aplicación, separados por 8 días entre ellos en una plantación sin labores culturales durante el tiempo de evaluación. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | Due to the high costs and economic impacts represented by the chemical control of black leaf streak (Mycosphaerella Fijiensis Morelet), the main disease that affects banana cultivation in the municipality of Turbo, the objective was to evaluate the effect of the application of three concentrations of Moringa leaves extract (Moringa Oleifera Lam) in the protective control of the disease in the cultivation of plantain clone hartón under field conditions.
This experiment was developed on the grounds of the National Open and Distance University (UNAD) in the District of Turbo Antioquia, in a plantation in production, where plants of 1 meter in height and 4 functional leaves were selected without the disease, without performing cultural work and, without fertilization, during the study period. A compound field trial was implemented for the study. Composed of 4 treatments each with 30 repetitions, the first was with a concentration of 32%, the second at 36%, the third corresponded to the control and, the fourth to 24 %. The severity and incidence of the disease were evaluated through the Stover scale modified by Gauhl, the total number of leaves, YLI (Young leaf infected-youngest leaf infected) and YLS (Young leaf spot-youngest leaf stained) during 6 application cycles, separated by 8 days between them in a plantation without cultural work during the evaluation time. The moringa extract in the evaluated concentrations and study conditions did not show statistically significant differences in the protective control for black Sigatoka of the plantain crop.
For the variables YLI (youngest leaf with symptoms) and YLS (youngest diseased leaf), no significant antifungal effects were observed, however, it is advisable to carry out other tests under conditions of plantation management (cultural tasks) since these they are considered important for the control of the advance of the disease | |
