| dc.description.abstract | El proyecto aplicado tiene como fin mostrar a productores del cultivo de melón HyB (Cucumis melo), profesores y estudiantes, la evaluación de la incidencia de enemigos naturales o insectos plaga presentes en el ciclo productivo del cultivo, que fue establecido en la unidad productiva La Primavera de la vereda Algarrobo del municipio de Garzón. De esta manera se buscó que los productores que desean cultivar esta fruta en la región, realicen el debido seguimiento y control. Para esto se realizó el monitoreo durante el proceso productivo, desde la etapa de siembra hasta los 100 días del ciclo del cultivo, haciendo uso de las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas BPA y manejo fitosanitario, el monitoreo se realizó cada tres días en trampas establecidas para recolectar e identificar los insectos presentes en el cultivo, mediante la asistencia técnica prestada por el autor del proyecto. Como resultado se tuvo que entre los insectos dañinos estuvo el Perforador del melón (Diaphania hyalinata), y la Mosca miera de Hojas (liriomyza sativae) y como insectos benéficos estuvo se identificó a la mariquita (Stethorus picipes), Libélula (Anisoptera), Chinche pirata (Orius tristicolor, O. insidiosus) y León De Áfidos (Chrysoperla carnea, C. Rufilabris). Tras la evaluación del daño de los insectos considerados se identificó que no hubo daño económico, ya que el umbral de acción se encuentra por debajo del 10%. | |

In this way, it was sought that producers who want to grow this fruit in the region, carry out the proper monitoring and control.
