| dc.description.abstract | Se efectuó un inventario de insectos asociados a inflorescencias en el cultivo de Palma de Aceite Elaeis Guineensis Jacq variedad Dami LAS FLORES, en la finca San Gerardo ubicada en la vereda Orú L5 (Tibú - Norte de Santander). La población correspondió a una parcela de 10 hectáreas cultivadas con 1280 palmas y una muestra de 128 plantas. El tipo de investigación es analítica, descriptiva y de campo mediante muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple aplicado en la experimentación agrícola.
El muestreo se realizó en el período seco (marzo de 2020) durante 4 días, se tuvo en cuenta las inflorescencias masculinas (IFM) y femeninas (IFA); se utilizó el sistema de línea a línea-palma a palma y a la planta que se encontró en periodo de antesis se instaló la trampa y luego se le asignó un número correlativo desde 001 hasta 128 para realizar el plano de la plantación y facilitar su ubicación. Finalmente se recolectaron los insectos de las trampas con el objetivo de identificar los insectos presentes y categorizarlos en Ordenes, de acuerdo a su relación con cada tipo de las inflorescencias.
De acuerdo al inventario realizado se concluyó que la palma de aceite en la zona de estudio alberga una cantidad de insectos, se identificaron dos especies asociadas al proceso de polinización de la palma de aceite, del Orden coleóptero de las familias Curculionidae y Nitidulidae: (Elaeidobius kamerunicus y Mystrops costaricensis). También se encontraron insectos de los Ordenes díptera, himenóptera y Blatodea, estos se consideran visitantes ya que no cumplen función polinizadora en la palma de aceite. En la zona de estudio no se encontró E. subvitattus que se encuentra en otras regiones de Colombia. | |

The type of research is analytical, descriptive and field by means of simple random probabilistic sampling applied in agricultural experimentation.
Sampling was carried out in the dry period (March 2020) for 4 days, taking into account male (IFM) and female (IFA) inflorescences; The line-by-line-palm-by-palm system was used and the trap was installed on the plant that was in the anthesis period and then assigned a correlative number from 001 to 128 to make the plan of the plantation and facilitate its location. Finally, the insects from the traps were collected in order to identify the insects present and categorize them into Orders, according to their relationship with each type of inflorescence.
According to the inventory carried out, it was concluded that the oil palm in the study area harbors a number of insects, two species associated with the pollination process of the oil palm were identified, of the Order Coleoptera of the families Curculionidae and Nitidulidae: (Elaeidobius kamerunicus and Mystrops costaricensis). Insects of the Diptera, Hymenoptera and Blatodea orders were also found, these are considered visitors since they do not perform pollinating function in oil palm. E. subvitattus, which is found in other regions of Colombia, was not found in the study area. | |
