dc.description.abstractenglish	The demands of globalization have shown the importance and need to reconvert Colombian livestock into more competitive production systems, with a long-term business vision and an internal organization designed to satisfy the needs of its customers. The Colombian Federation of Livestock Farmers FEDEGÁN, with resources from the National Livestock Fund, through its Technical Management and the Sub-Management of Animal Health and Welfare, has the purpose of identifying, encouraging and accompanying farms with the most business projection, as a model to promote BPG , the development of high production standards and its offi cial certifi cation. The Good Livestock Practices (BPG) refer to all the actions involved in the primary link of bovine farming, aimed at ensuring the safety of food, meat and milk, the protection of the environment and of the people who work on the farm.
