| dc.description.abstract | La avicultura es un pilar muy importante en la economía del país y a su vez cabe resaltar que la producción de pollos y huevos aumenta constantemente. Por lo anterior el propósito de la visita a la granja avícola "El Porvenir" ubicada en el municipio de Fómeque Cundinamarca, vereda Carrizal, fue conocer los procesos que se realizan durante la fase de producción de huevos, así como el crecimiento de la granja en los últimos 15 años de operación. Hoy en día, la granja "El Porvenir" es de ciclo completo, es decir que los periodos de cría, levante y producción se realizan dentro de las mismas instalaciones. Cabe destacar que hoy en día esta granja tiene una capacidad total de alojamiento para 20.000 aves de la línea genética Hoy – Line Brown las cuales están divididas en 2 lotes de 10.000 pollas cada uno; igualmente la granja se encuentra en proceso de certificación BPA, por lo que se tomó como base la ficha técnica de FENAVI, estudiando cada uno de los requisitos allí establecidos y así poder eliminar las deficiencias identificadas. Dicho lo anterior, esta granja demuestra el compromiso con sus procesos avícolas y sobre todo con la fase de producción de huevos donde destaca una alta calidad del producto y al mismo tiempo garantiza la seguridad alimentaria, el bienestar animal y la protección del medio ambiente. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | Poultry farming is a very important pillar in the country's economy and at the same time it is worth highlighting that the production of chickens and eggs is constantly increasing. Therefore, the purpose of the visit to the "El Porvenir" poultry farm located in the municipality of Fómeque Cundinamarca, Carrizal village, was to learn about the processes carried out during the egg production phase, as well as the growth of the farm in the last 15 years of operation. Today, the "El Porvenir" farm is a full cycle farm, meaning that the breeding, raising, and production periods are carried out within the same facilities. It should be noted that today this farm has a total housing capacity for 20,000 birds of the Hy – Line Brown genetic line, which are divided into 2 lots of 10,000 pullets each; Likewise, the farm is in the process of GAP certification, so the FENAVI technical sheet was taken as a basis, studying each of the requirements established there and thus being able to eliminate the identified deficiencies. That said, this farm demonstrates its commitment to its poultry processes and especially to the egg production phase, where high product quality stands out and at the same time guarantees food safety, animal welfare and environmental protection. | |
