| dc.description.abstract | La visita de campo realizada a la finca San Pedro, ubicada en el municipio de Mosquera, Cundinamarca, permitió evaluar el estado de implementación de las Buenas Prácticas Ganaderas (BPG) en la producción ovina. La finca, perteneciente al Centro de Biotecnología Agropecuaria del SENA, cuenta con instalaciones adecuadas, manejo semi-estabulado, y un sistema reproductivo basado en monta natural. Se observó un adecuado manejo de alimentación, bienestar animal y sanidad, con prácticas que apuntan al cumplimiento de la normativa vigente. La carne de cordero producida en esta unidad se comercializa dentro del departamento. Aunque se han logrado avances significativos, se recomienda seguir fortaleciendo la documentación, bioseguridad y trazabilidad para lograr la certificación oficial en BPG. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The field visit to the San Pedro farm, located in the municipality of Mosquera, Cundinamarca, allowed for an evaluation of the implementation status of Good Livestock Practices (GLP) in sheep production. The farm, which is part of the Agricultural Biotechnology Center of SENA, features adequate facilities, a semi-confined management system, and a reproductive system based on natural mating. Proper management of feeding, animal welfare, and health was observed, with practices aligned with current regulations. The lamb meat produced at this facility is marketed within the department. Although significant progress has been made, it is recommended to continue strengthening documentation, biosecurity, and traceability in order to achieve official GLP certification.
