| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación surgió a partir de la necesidad de profundizar en el fenómeno sobre la
interrupción voluntaria del embarazo (IVE) en el municipio de San José del Guaviare. El
objetivo principal fue analizar la percepción y el alcance de discernimiento que poseen los
adolescentes, entre los 13 y 18 años, en relación con la salud sexual y reproductiva. Para
desarrollar la investigación, se eligieron tres instituciones educativas: Celestino Mutis, Manuela
Beltrán y la Concentración de Desarrollo Rural (CDR).
El estudio se centró en recopilar información relacionada con el entendimiento que
poseen los adolescentes respecto a la interrupción del embarazo, las distintas percepciones sobre
este tema, la normatividad vigente en Colombia en especial la sentencia que regula esta práctica
y los derechos sexuales y reproductivos. La investigación se desarrolló a partir de un enfoque
metodológico cualitativo, a través de grupos focales conformados por estudiantes. Se realizaron
entrevistas grupales con ocho preguntas dirigidas a cinco estudiantes por institución, para un
total de 15 participantes. Este enfoque permitió obtener datos directos y significativos sobre la
percepción de los adolescentes. Los resultados fueron presentados mediante un proceso de
sistematización, reflejando respuestas cualitativas relevantes. La investigación permitió
establecer un panorama sobre la percepción que tienen los adolescentes en torno a la (IVE) y la
salud sexual y reproductiva, lo cual puede contribuir a la creación de lineamientos y estrategias
formativas más efectivas en el municipio.

| dc.description.abstractenglish | This research arose from the need to delve into the phenomenon of voluntary interruption
of pregnancy (IVE) in the municipality of San José del Guaviare. The main objective was to
analyze the perception and understanding that adolescents aged 13 to 18 have regarding sexual
and reproductive health. To carry out the research, three educational institutions were chosen:
Celestino Mutis, Manuela Beltrán, and the Rural Development Concentration (CDR).
The study focused on gathering information related to the understanding that adolescents
have regarding abortion, the different perceptions on this topic, the current regulations in
Colombia, especially the ruling that regulates this practice, and sexual and reproductive rights.
The research was developed using a qualitative methodological approach, through focus groups
made up of students. Group interviews were conducted with eight questions directed at five
students per institution, for a total of 15 participants. This approach allowed for the collection of
direct and meaningful data on adolescents' perceptions. The results were presented through a
systematization process, reflecting relevant qualitative responses. The research allowed for the
establishment of an overview of the perceptions that adolescents have regarding (IVE) and
sexual and reproductive health, which can contribute to the creation of more effective guidelines
and training strategies in the municipality.
