| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación analiza las estrategias que podrían aplicarse al enseñar vocabulario en inglés a un grupo de estudiantes de primer grado, en Liceo Los Alpes, para su clase UNIT. UNIT es una clase propuesta por el
Programa de la Escuela Primaria, de la Organización del Bachillerato internacional (IB) e integra las asignaturas de Ciencias Naturales y Estudios Sociales.
En este proyecto de investigación se abordarán diferentes aspectos del aprendizaje integrado de contenido y lenguaje (AICLE) y la enseñanza de inglés como lengua extranjera, con el fin de descubrir cuál de ellos podría ser adecuado para ser aplicado a fin de ayudar a los jóvenes a adquirir el vocabulario que necesitan para sus lecciones UNIT. Además, se definirá el tema UNIT para ayudar a los lectores a comprender el contenido de este tema y su objetivo.
Esta investigación se basa principalmente en estrategias que podrían usarse para ayudar a los jóvenes a adquirir un vocabulario que sea adecuado para comprender lo que está sucediendo en sus lecciones de UNIT. La mayoría de las investigaciones previas sobre la aplicación de estrategias de enseñanza en inglés como lengua extranjera se centran en ayudar a los estudiantes a comprender el contenido de la materia mencionada. | spa |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | This research looks at the strategies that could be applied when teaching English Vocabulary to a group of First graders, at Liceo Los Alpes, for their UNIT class. UNIT is a class proposed by the
Primary Years Program, of the International Baccaularete Organization, and integrates the subjects of Natural Science and Social Studies.
Different aspects from Content And Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and Teaching English as a foreign language will be covered in this research project, for the sake of discovering which of them could be suitable to be applied in order to help then young learner to acquire the vocabulary they need for their UNIT lessons. In addition the subject UNIT will be defined in order to help the readers understand the content of this subject and its aim.
This research draws upon mostly strategies that could be used to help the young learners acquire a vocabulary that is suitable to understand what is happening in their UNIT lessons. Most prior research on applying teaching strategies in English as a foreign language focuses on helping the students understanding the content of the mentioned subject. | spa |
