The arrullos, traditional songs that combine spiritual, artistic and social values, face the risk of disappearing due to the lack of interest of the new generations and the lack of educational spaces for their teaching. The project focused on identifying the characteristics and cultural meanings of the arrullos, designing ethno-educational pedagogical strategies and evaluating their implementation with third grade students. The methodology employed was qualitative, using interviews with elders, participant observation and documentary analysis. The educational action research guided the design and execution of didactic sequences based on the constructivist approach, which included activities such as comparison, creation and interpretation of lullabies. The results showed that the students achieved a greater understanding and appreciation of the lullabies as part of their cultural heritage. The activities fostered creativity and collaborative work, while the intergenerational dialogue strengthened community ties and made it possible to rescue traditional knowledge. The creation of lullabies by the students demonstrated that this tradition can be adapted to contemporary contexts without losing its essence. It was concluded that the integration of cultural heritage in the school curriculum is a key tool to preserve traditions and strengthen community identity, presenting itself as a replicable model for other communities at risk of cultural loss.Key words: Pasto language, Oral tradition, Cultural identity, Didactic strategies, Linguistic revitalization.
