Description This project presents an analysis of the current level of English of high school students and also ways to strengthen basic communication skills level A2 from the Common European Framework for languages CEFR with students of 8th grade in Martin, Slovakia. This project considers necessary an intervention to improve students’ performance by doing activities to present English as an interesting subject for students to interact through a wide variety of ways presented as significant curricular contributions in the teaching of English in Slovakia, it also presents an observation and conclusion on how students can improve their communication skills in English by implementing different strategies which seek to improve specifically their speaking skill.
